From the Noreh Notebook

Some connections don't leave us. They just change form. NAMA is the mostpersonal chapter of Noreh. It comes from my name - Nandika - and his — Manoj. A part of me, always tied to him. But NAMA is also a feeling I grew up with. It reminds me of quiet evenings, sitting beside my father, watching stories of Lord Shiva, listening to prayers I didn't fully understand then... but somehow, always felt. He believed I would always be protected.

And somewhere... I still do. As a child, I expressed love in the simplest ways- letters, small handmade cards, things I still hold onto. There isn't a piece of jewelry that belonged to him. Nothing I could wear to feel close.

Except one memory... that stayed with me. I was stubborn about getting a nose piercing. And he was the one who took me. I still remember holding onto him, crying through the pain... while he stood there, holding me tighter.

I didn't know then that moment would become something permanent. Not just the piercing...but the feeling of being held, protected, and loved. And maybe that's why I create what I create. Because when something becomes a part of you. it never really leaves. NAMA is built from that space-

- where

love continues, even in absence. Each piece draws from the celestial- light, energy, something beyond what we can see- just like the presence we continue to feel. Because some bonds are not meant to be held... they are meant to be carried.
